Talk: Anerley Hill forms just 350 yards of the busy A214 that runs for 11 miles, from Wandsworth to West Wickham. Despite its short length it has a rich and varied history. Life long Anerley Hill resident, John Prideaux, has developed in depth knowledge of this area which he will share in this talk. His studies as part of the Norwood Society’s street histories research group has disclosed fascinating information about the road’s past. John’s latest talk will take us on a journey through the last two hundred years of Anerley Hill’s history. The talk provides new content for even the most knowledgeable of locals.
