August 18th 2019 - Walk: The Southern slopes of Upper Norwood led by Alun Thomas.
Crystal Palace Station to Fox Hill. Meet: 2.30pm at Crystal Palace Station, SE19 2AZ


Local History Talks are held on the 3rd Thursday of the Month at 7.30pm at the Upper Norwood Library, Westow Hill SE19 1TJ. Refreshments available. No charge but we ask for a donation of about £3.

January 17th 2019 - South London Suburbs. Archivist and historian Len Riley describes the development of suburban South London.    

February 21st 2019 - The History of Parks. Author and reviewer Travis Elborough charts the history of the British park and discusses his book ‘A Walk in the Park’.

March 21st 2019 - The other ‘Triangle’ – Fox Hill, Tudor Road & Belvedere Road
Alun Thomas delves into the history of this area and its past residents

April 18th 2019 - The Crystal Palace Dinosaurs
Ellinor Michel of the Friends of Crystal Palace Dinosaurs talks about the history of the dinosaurs and the restoration project. Followed by the Society’s AGM
