Leo Held, who died on the 11th March, was a founder member of the Norwood Society and he served this Society in various capacities for 49 years. At the time of his death he was our President and he led an active life until the end.
His funeral took place last month. In order to celebrate his long and productive life his family has arranged for a Memorial Service to take place on Friday 1st May at 3.00 pm in All Saints' Church, Beulah Hill, Upper Norwood.
After the service The Norwood Society will serve tea and coffee and cake in the adjacent Parish Room. If you would like to attend and to join us afterwards then please send an e-mail to Peter Austin peter.w.austin@btinternet.com or ring him on
020 8653 0149. For catering purposes we need to have an idea of numbers.
The next Norwood Review will come out in June and it will contain an obituary of this remarkable man.
