Published four times a year, the magazine includes details of regular activities, planning reports and articles on local history. We positively welcome articles from members. There is a very active Local History Group within the Society which new members are welcome to join. The Group meets once a month to pursue research projects; it also organises exhibitions and in the summer a programme of local walks is arranged. Monitoring planning applications is an important aspect of our work. Advice and support are available to members if they are involved in an application themselves or affected directly by a neighbouring development. Member's views on big issues, which affect the area as a whole, are welcomed. |
